The Taper
The weight-forward taper on the Seeker II Intermediate series is the perfect line for the still water fly angler. The taper has a smooth head design with the moderate length belly lending itself well to performing longer casts with accurate presentation and ease. The longer front and rear taper allow you to accurately shoot out line when needed but also turn over larger flies with ease. The Seeker II Intermediate range also features a host of specialized additives to the outer coating that further increase slickness, reduces friction and increase line speed while keeping uniformity for a steady 1-2 inches per second sink rate. With an overall length of 100′ or 30.5 meters the Seeker II is built to be a long-distance casting line.
The Core
All our fly lines at REEL Fly Fishing make use of a multi-strand braided core construction or PE/Polyethylene woven core. The advantages of our braided core technology mean no stretch, no memory and vastly improved feedback into your fly rod and hands. Braided fibers offer high strength to weight and diameter ratios but also give fly lines some rigidity or backbone. Utilizing the rigidity provided by braid we can adjust the coating parameters for each specific fly fishing line giving you the best performance in each respective area. Braided multi-strand cores give our fly lines remain limp and memory free even in the extremely cold winter mornings.
